Reading Without Walls Poster
Encourage kids to explore the world through reading with this poster by Gene Luen Yang. Yang's “Reading Without Walls” program challenges young readers to do three things: read a book about a person different from them; read a book about a new topic; and read a book in a format that’s different from what they are used to i.e. a chapter book, a book in verse, audio book, or a graphic novel. In addition to this program, Yang was named a 2016 MacArthur "Genius" and praised for using comics with youth to broaden their understanding of diverse cultures and people. Special thanks to Gene Luen Yang for original art and First Second Books.
