Daniella LaShaun Smith
Daniella LaShaun Smith, PhD, MLIS, is the Hazel Harvey Peace Endowed Professor and Director of the Information Science PhD Program at the University of North Texas. She is a former classroom teacher and school and public youth services librarian. Her research has been funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and includes school librarian leadership, LIS education, and STEM skill acquisition in K–20 environments. The author of more than fifty publications, she has served on numerous AASL committees and has been an AASL Knowledge Quest blogger, chair of the AASL Educators of School Librarians Section, an ALA Councilor-at-Large, and the ALISE Director of Membership.
