Celebrate Latino Heritage Bookmark

Celebrate Latino Heritage Month with this new bookmark by award-winning author-illustrator Duncan Tonatiuh. In Tonatiuh's signature style, a young Latino boy reclines as he reads, and his shadow is transformed into a map of the United States and Latin America. Use this bookmark to celebrate Latino voices and stories this fall and all year long.

Duncan Tonatiuh has received numerous accolades including most recently a 2023 Pura Belpre Honor for A Land of Books: Dreams of Young Mexihcah Word Painters. His artwork is inspired by Pre-Columbian art, particularly that of the Mixtec codices. A new, bilingual picture book, ¡Felicidades!: A Celebration with Shapes, is available August 6. Special thanks to Duncan Tonatiuh for creating original artwork and Abrams Children’s Books.
