Librarians and early childhood educators can step in to make STEM learning (a national priority) more playful, fun and hands-on. Webinar attendees will learn innovative, playful ways to support Early Literacy and STEAM through programs, services, collections, and spaces.

About the Instructors

Stephanie C. Prato is the Head of Children’s Services at the Simsbury Public Library, CT. With experience in youth services, community outreach, leadership, instruction, and technology, she has developed innovative programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. She is an active member of the American Library Association and serves as a member of the Early Childhood Programs and Services Committee of the Association for Library Service to Children.

Stephanie Saba is a Senior Librarian at the San Mateo County Libraries in California. She is a member of the American Library Association and serves on the Early Childhood Programs and Services Committee of the Association for Library Service to Children. She will begin a two year appointment as a member of the Public and Cultural Programs Advisory Committee for ALA in July 2016. She is also a member of the California Library Association and is currently serving on the California Young Reader Medal Committee.
